So there's this movement group called the FreakBike Militia or Nation or whatever and every 3 months they hold a Choppernite. Basically everyone around South Florida gathers for a ride and brings out their crazy bikes (custom chopped-up bikes or really any bike is fine). For Halloween and Christmas they are especially encouraged to dress up, dress up the bikes, and just have fun! Word gets out and it attracts 100-200+ people. It's a family affair and is pretty much a real Critical Mass. Volunteers get stationed along the route to guide the 5-semi truck long parade safely around town. Now, if we can only get past the critically 5 people for the actual Critical Mass, that would be fantastic.
Since we ride past old retiree condos, one brilliant lady yelled at us "HEY! Who are you all?" and one girl was laughing "Hey! Who are YOU? and why are you hiding and yelling at us :(" lol. Mostly we just got a lot of applause and surprisingly, a lot of patience from motorists who were too busy filming us on their mobiles.
